"Life Alert" wakes the dead?

press a button and help is on its way...

just saw a commercial for "Life Alert", and it's a good idea and all (though a bit obsolete with cell phones so common and handy...)

but what I want to know is why the commercial has C. Everett Koop as a spokesman...

sure, he was Surgeon General...

but isn't he dead?
